I am struggling with a certain concept and welcome inputs:
Background:
The container-contained dynamics - the person or group with unmanageable feelings is the contained and this is put into the container who takes on these unmanageable feelings and is affected but yet in control...then the container detoxifies these unmanageable feelings and returns it to the contained in a much more manageable form leading to healing and integration within the contained. Intuition and insight within the contained is enhanced and tolerance of frustation increases...
My queries:
1) How does the container dynamics work post-containment? Is is
possible that the container may burst much after the dynamic
interplay of projective identification?...during the interplay
when the container has reasonably digested and detoxified the
unmanageable feelings and returned it in a manageable form, it has
done its job...
But what happens after that to the container? Suppose the
contained was severely depressed, and the container takes on the
depression...can it reel under the impact later and burst? What is
the potential damage that can be caused to the container?
2) How does the micro-process of detoxification and digestion of
unmanageable feelings work?

the container is only a facilitator..the process of detoxification and subsequent healing & integration will start & end within the contained. there will be some negative energy expelled by the contained which may not effect the container per se but it may be find a home in the next contained object.

The container is an active facilitator and is also affected and changed during the process. In fact in order to function it must to some extent feel what the contained is feeling for eg become depressed itself to a certain extent. this is the core function of empathy without which the relationship cannot exist.

Well I think Amit, the if the container is non judjemental and has a higher energy field he will not get influenced with the toxicity of the contained...
